Battery strapping tool: PP strap or PET strap, and which tool fits?

A battery strapping tool tensions, welds and cuts the strap in a single operation. No clips, no tensioner, no muscle. Before buying, two questions need answering: which strap, which tool?

PP strap or PET strap?

PP strap (polypropylene) is inexpensive and elastic, ideal for boxes and light pallets up to about 300 kg. PET strap (polyester) takes far more tension, stays tight and resists weather and UV, the choice for heavy pallets, building materials and outdoor storage. The LastWerk battery tools handle both, from 13 to 16 mm wide.

K1, V2 or V3?

K1: fully automatic, 400 to 3,200 N tension, 4.0 Ah battery, the all-rounder for shipping and warehouses. V2: up to 2,800 N, with one or two 4,000 mAh batteries, for continuous use with a spare battery. V3: 600 to 3,200 N with fine adjustment, for delicate and heavy loads alike.

When is a strapping machine worth it?

From 50 boxes a day, a semi-automatic table machine like the DM8890H (9 to 14 mm PP strap) pays off. For serial shipping with identical box sizes, the fully automatic YS-X201 with an 800 × 600 mm frame opening straps in rhythm.
